40 Million Quit the CCP

DC Rally Celebrates a New China

A rally was held at the Washington Monument on Friday, July 18 to mark the 40 million people who have quit the CCP or its affiliations. A candlelight vigil was held in the evening for those killed by the regime and those still held in prisons and work camps.

A protest was also held outside the U.S. Department of State to inform officials that the Chinese consulate in New York City promotes pro-communist mobs that threaten the volunteers of the Quit the CCP Center.

Dr. Clive Ansley, a Canadian Human Rights attorney and North American Chairman of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China, declared his concern that the Western media does not report the persecution of Falun Gong, even after the publication of the book Bloody Harvest, which provides "impeccable evidence" of the removal of vital organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

A "direct" genocide is going on, he stated, "The authors David Matas - the leading human rights attorney in Canada - and David Kilgour, former Secretary of State for Far Eastern affairs - are unimpeachable sources."

President Bush’s presence at the opening ceremony of the Olympics was criticized. "He missed a one-time opportunity," said Mr. Karma Zurkhang, former chairman of Tibetan-American Association. He said the most attendable estimates are that circa 1,000 Tibetans were killed and 5,000 arrested during the protests.

With China’s current place in world affairs, it may appear that the CCP is strong. But speakers at the rally said the Olympics is just a show, like the Nazi’s Berlin Olympics, and that the party is crumbling, while the CCP continues to indoctrinate the population that China’s economic success depends on the CCP.

European satellite operator Eutelsat, which broadcast New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV, the only Chinese language station that provides uncensored news to mainland China), has allegedly been pressured to cut off the station to court favor with China before the Olympics. But Eutelsat is placing itself on the wrong side of history.

Pointing out the elaborate precautions being made for the Olympics, one columist stated: "…you can hardly tell if it is for a Game or for a war!"
