The Rape of Tibet
The Rape of Tibet: A shattered historical identity, a culture destroyed
In 1959 Tibet lost its freedom: outnumbered and poorly armed, the Tibetan army was crushed after a few days of an unsuccessful uprising. Thousands were killed. Everything was destroyed. Monks were crucified and buried alive, children forced to kill their own parents The famine forced the people to escape. This was the method used by the communist despots: make them go hungry, weaken them and divide them. Secretly and silently the Tibetans were eliminated. Chinese propaganda discredited the monks then as it does today.
In 2008, Tibetans around the world commemorated the 1959 uprising against Chinese rule.
In 2008, Tibetan refugees are marching to Tibet in protest over the China hosting the Olympic Games.
Crushing a people and erasing their heritage cannot be forgiven. Only a regime dedicated to evil could possibly do such a thing. The reasons are always the same: hunger for power. Chinese Nazi-communism has even ruined its own heritage. It has alienated its intellectuals, artists and free-thinkers, burnt books and destroyed ancient buildings that could have been conserved as symbols of their roots and used as museums. Not satisfied with having ruined their own culture and their own country, these dictators went on to destroy the temples and monasteries in Tibet. They declared Tibetan religious practices to be illegal, undermining Tibetan traditions and dignity.
The destruction of Tibet continues. Just look at the violent Chinese reaction of the last few days, as peaceful civilians and monks march in protest against the Chinese occupation (or “the peaceful liberation of Tibet” as the Chinese call it). If the Chinese government is questioned about their invasion of Tibet they react with anger saying they “liberated” Tibet. What a joke!
The Chinese method of destroying a nation and culture included the infiltration, through strategically placed routes, so as to bring “the gifts of communism” to the Tibetan people. Books from monasteries were burnt in order to erase the past. Arrests and purges were commonplace, traditional agriculture ruined. Famines began.
Of course the Chinese method included lies. Their propaganda did not show the deaths, the hunger, the terror, the torture, the rape. It did not show that the Chinese “cultural revolution” resulted in one million deaths. China even became a member of the United Nations while famine and repression in Tibet continued. What a joke! And now China has been awarded the Olympic Games.
The colonization of Tibet was effectuated by occupation troops and successively by Chinese civilian settlers encouraged to migrate to Tibet in order to suffocate the Tibetan population and turn them into a minority in their own country. The goal was to obliterate all individual and cultural identity, just as they were doing in their own country.
The new Chinese Nazism is evident. Beijing is the new Nazi-Communist capital and we are allowing them host the Olympic Games. This is a government that pollutes its own country, together with its spiritual identity and dignity. The loss of the individual self is also a loss of humanness and the loss of compassion for other living beings. This is demonstrated by the fact that in China children are exploited in the production of toxic goods which are then sold all over the world. Factory workers are forced to struggle to get by on less than the bare minimum needed to survive. People in the countryside are hungry and can’t afford any medical care. The animals which help the people survive are subjected to what amounts to torture.
The Nazi-communist regime continues to plunder populations by bringing them to their knees in order to control and explit them.
